How similar or different is theatre from cinema?

There are some similarities of theatre and cinema. Both are presenting a play or movie to entertain the audience. In a play or a movie, actors, script and music are getting involved in the performance. From a play or a movie, the audience might get some message or value after watching it. However, there are slightly different between theatre and cinema. Theatre is a building with stage for the performance. Cinema is a room with a big screen which is used to play recorded films in front of the audience. Therefore, in a production of movie, actors have room for their mistakes. If they have done something wrong, the director can capture the scene again. On the other hand, the production of a play is different than a movie. Although both require hard work to produce it, the effort which must be put by the actors in a play is more than the actor of movie. In my opinion, having to remember the script for the whole play is a great feat. Since it is a live play, if the actors forget the lines then whole play would be ruined. In spite of similarities and differences, both theatre and cinema have their own uniqueness and entertainment value to suite their audience.
